Hi Hurricane Club Memebers,
I've been asking questions regarding PORs 15 in the color Silver. Somebody in the Cobra Club mentioned to me that he had heard that the silver color turns sort of a greenish tint after a while. Is this true?
I'm considering getting my frame painted with PORs15 in silver, but I don't want it to be greenish...
Also does Hurricane have passenger side roll bar set up and what is the cost? ;D
Info. appreciated....Havasubill
I'm ordering mine in mid Oct...this Christmas will be fine.
I dont know about the Silver turning green. I do know the black fads in the sunlight. And to be honest with you, there was a time when I thought I saw a green haze in my black POR-15. So its seems possible that the Silver will turn also. But, I believe it may only do so when left in direct sunlight for a long period of time.
And Yes, Hurricane does have a passenger side role bar set-up...I do not know the cost though.
Phil
Passenger rollbar is $120, the 'sockets' add an additional $120. $240 total, non-chrome.
If anybody will know about the POR stability, These Guys (http://www.autobody101.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=5) will. I'd try the question over there.

Went to the POR website. Check it out.

Looks like the POR-15 chasis coat is always going to be black and is sensitive to UV rays. THey recommend a topcoat to keep it from changing color.
BUT
The Stirling Silver topcoat is the perfect topcoat for the POR-15 chassis coat. Anyone who currently has the black POR-15 can apply the Stirling Silver topcoat.
Mike & Rich,
Can you look into this and see if the Sterling Silver topcoat is something you can add to the POR-15 at an additional cost?
