Title: How much does a Hurricane weight?
Post by: NathanH on August 09, 2006, 08:49:50 AM
I was wondering how much a Hurricane weights with either a big block or small block?

I see a lot of people compare the Hurricane with a FFR, and I know one of the advantages that FFR has is their light weight.

How much weight does the IRS add to the weight?

Thanks,
-Nathan

Nathan, any idea where I could roll onto a scale here in GR?

When I lived in Ionia, there used to be scales at the local truck stop, but I don't think the truck stop is open anymore. I'd look for a truck stop and see if they have scales, many do. That's how my Dad used to weigh his vehicles in the past.

So 2300#, SB w/ AL heads,... how does that compare to FFR w/o IRS?

Yeah I saw that. I think I've seen FFRs w/o IRS weighing in the 2200 lb. range.

Is that like a "Henweigh"? :)
