Hi, like others here, I am seriously looking at the Hurricane replicar and comparing other manufacturers. I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona, so air conditioning is a must, since I plan on using the cobra as a daily driver, and only car. Is there enough room, for the air conditioning unit on the firewall, as well as the motor unit, and ducting behind the guage cluster? Also, I am thinking about using a soft-top, and eventually purchasing a hard-top sometime in the future. What is the quality of your soft-top?
Many thanks for your replies
Paul
not sure what a/c unit you are referring to, however i live in washington, dc and went with cobra earl's powered vent kit:

my car is not done yet, but i have heard nothing but positive things about this kit.

Paul,
I strongly suggest you call Hurricane, and discuss these issues with Mike Arps. As far as I know there have not yet been any soft tops or air conditioners installed on any Hurricane kits yet.

Paul,
I think there are small A/C units that may fit. I think Vintage Air makes one but I don't know anything about it. There are a few FFR's that have A/C and I think there's more room behind the Hurricane firewall than in the FFR.
By the way, I live in Tucson and I totally understand the heat! But I'm just going to tuff it out. Other roadsters I've driven aren't to bad but if your going to use it as a daily driver, it might be different.

Good suggestions, I will try and call Hurricane this week.
