Title: Top Available?
Post by: Dan on March 05, 2006, 09:02:29 AM
I didn't see a soft-top anywhere on the Hurricane site. Does anyone know if one is available? I know there are a lot out there that fit other manufacturer's kits. Though the body dimensions are similar across a lot of the kits offered by other manufacturers, I doubt a top that fits the body of one kit will necessarily fit another. Has anyone found a high quality top that they know for a fact will fit the Hurricane Cobra without significant modifications?

Thanks

Mike or Rich:

Is the top Chris referenced listed somewhere on your site? Price, pictures, etc. would be appreciated. Does the stock Hurricane body require any special attachments to be added to accommodate? If so, is there a charge to have you make these changes prior to delivery?

Dan,
Our tops are made in England and are designed to fit the Original 427's. Our body is almost identical to the original and fit is not a problem. We don't have any mounted pictures right now, but we will be installing one in our#98 car in the next couple of months and will have pictures then. The tops come with side curtains, and all mounting hardware needed to install. Every Hurricane that we ship has the proper backing installed inside the doors to attach the side curtains so there is no charge to accommodate the soft top.

Hey Dan,
The price that was once listed was $1300.00 Don't know if that is still correct as it is no longer shown on the web site. Here's a link to where it was listed previously.  http://www.hurricane-motorsports.com/softtop.jsp
