Title: HM1078 - ready for paint
Post by: Paul Proefrock on January 05, 2010, 07:11:30 PM
It's been a long road but finally, HM1078 is ready for paint. I'd planned to drive her in primer for a couple months but when my painter called and offered a sweeter deal if I could bring it in now, didn't take long to make that decision.

Color will be white with blue stripe/red fender stripe

WooHoo!

Kwilly,
Been a little remiss in keeping my website up-to-date. I'll work on that, thanks for the comment.

My car is at the painter, it is to be done on Mar 6th  >:( ;D  (Today is Mar. 30th)  Murrill tells me should be ready next weekend but looking at where he's at, I'd be surprised if it is before tax day.

Anxiously waiting

Come over sometime and I'll show you my car

Hey kwilly,

I am in South County and also building a Hurricane, the last kit to leave Lee's Summit.  I am a long way from finished but would be glad to show you what I've got.

Paul, your painter isn't from Indonesia is he?  If so, that would equate to about June 1st.. ::)....remember to post the finished pictures...

Paul, your car looks great! Like the shaved turn signal pods - wish I had thought to do that.
Looking at the headlights, are you going to use the rubber gasket on the Wipac's or the housing directly on the body?

Wow! looks great! I really like the color combo. thats the hardest part of the build - the color choice.

I just delivered mine to the paint shop last weekend. I'm told 4 weeks to finish. I did the major body repairs myself but they are doing the final skim and blocking to make sure it's all straight.

Post the assembled pic's when you can.
