It was a day of anticipation, but i finally got the call from Martin/Stewart transport. He'd be here in 10 minutes. OMG am i ready? Doesn't matter cause it's here. Needless to say it was a great day. The anticipation is over and now the work begins. I will post pics in a bit. Thanks to all the people that posted the information that led me to realizing the first part of a dream.
Bill
Congrats!!!!!!
We all know the feeling, have fun with you build, looks like you got the stage 1 assy, make sure you go over everything, from the start from the front of the book and remember to check all torques.

i went over everything already. Some interesting things came up. Lots of loose bolts, some metric bolts, some standard. Stuff like that. Here's some pics.
My Southern Automotive 426 stroker BB. I can't say enough good things about that company.
Oops, here is the engine
Stewart transport did a good job hauling the car. Although the driver mentioned a few times about how great factory five packs their stuff. I thought the packing on HM1110 was adequate.
Martin was a good guy and showed up a little earlier then he said, but he worked hard to get me unloaded quickly.
Quite a contraption they have going here.
this cart worked out pretty good. He needed to use a can of fix a flat on it though. rolled great once we got it going.
Pushing "her" into her new home.
hmmmm where do i start?
That's me passed out behind the car.
My daughter Sara has the right idea.....yeah right!!!
Next day, set the windshield angle. Not too hard, although the windshield arms did not fit as flush as i'd like. I;m checking on that. This is after the first day. My buddy and i removed the body.

Got it stripped down pretty good here. Worked on the brake lines, battery cables, fuel line. Got them all mostly done. Had my way with the tank. That was interesting. Will check for leaks this weekend and finish running the lines and battery cables.
My gas tank handiwork.
And finally the resting place for the body. At least it has a nice view.
Thanks, Brad, I'll check on it. Good to know these things in advance before i try to put that sucker in.

:)Welcome to the club Bill,
Now the fun begins. Good luck on your build and don't stay up too late working on the car LOL!!
Congratulations Bill, and glad to have a 4th HM in the LA area! Don't hesitate to reach out to me - whether to compare notes, look at how I did something or even if you need another pair of hands to lift the body on and off.
Matt
Sounds good Matt. Thanks.
Congrats, Bill. Glad to see you're jumping right into the build (as if you could wait...). Looking forward to lots of progress updates!

How about some updates? It's been November 2007 since your last post on your build.
Just keeping track of the builds here.
Joe
I actually started a build log in the build area of the forum. It is listed under HM 1110. I am getting ready to drive it with the body on for the first time this weekend.
