Those of you on the dark side know my engine saga. I found out yesterday that my block is shot with the cam bearing bores worn. So I now have an entire 428FE without a block that I need to sell. Every fastener is ARP. The oil pump is mounted, but un-used. The rest of the parts have the 1/2 hour of break-in, followed by 16 (yes sixteen) road miles on them. So here's the list:
Brand-new unopened Fel-Pro engine gasket set.
Edelbrock aluminum heads.
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake.
FRPP Cobra aluminum valve covers.
ARP Head studs.
3/8" push rods.
Harland Sharp roller rocker assemblies and ARP studs.
Entire reciprocating assembly with flywheel that has been balanced together. Pistons/rings are cast stock-height .040 for a 10.8 CR with the Edelbrock heads. Crank is a stock 428 ground at .020/.020. Rods are stock 428 with ARP rod bolts.
FRPP (Canton) 8-qt winged pan, windage tray, and pickup with dipstick & tube that attach to the R-F of the pan. Pan also has bung for oil temperature sender.
Melling standard-volume oil pump.
Stock Ford electronic distributor with blue straight-boot wires.
Holley Street Avenger 780CFM carburetor.
Stock engine mounts.
Front cover.
Stock steel bellhousing with T/O bearing and fork.
McLeod reverse-hub clutch and pressure plate.
ARP 12-point fasteners for everything.
Edelbrock aluminum water pump.
All brackets and pulleys
Starter that has been clicked over probably ten times.
I'm sure there are some other giblets that I have left out. Just picture an entire running 428 without a block and that's what I have.
I'm near Albuquerque and would rather not risk shipping some of these parts. I've not set prices, but I think that 2/3rds of the brand new prices would be fair due to everything having very short use on them.
If interested, contact me at tpiini@yahoo.com with "428FE PARTS" or similar in the title so my spam filter doesn't throw you away.
Thanks,
Tom
