Thanks for the replies.  The color is a black cherry from a 1995 lexus. In the photos it looks alot more purple than in real life.  In person it looks alot more red.   The checkered flag was a last minute decision.  Glad it turned out so good.  Here is a close up of the checkered flag.  Darren

Ross the wheels are american racing torque thrust 2  The size on th rear is17x11 with 4" backspacing the fronts are 17x8" with 4 " backspacing.  They fit real nice on the cobra. 315 35 17 on the back and 234 45 17 on the front. Thanks for looking   Dwright

Darren, beautiful car and great pics!  Your paint color, those checkerd flags, the wheels - it all works on your car!
How about some observations after putting on some miles? Likes, dislikes, things you would of done differently?

Thanks Matt.  There are only a few things I would have done diffrent.  The clutch is a bear to push in.  I used a ram clutch and wish I would have researched the different companies out there and required less effort to disengage the clutch.  I am told center-force clutches has a lighter effort.  Thats my only major dislike so far.  I will uprgrade to the wilwood brakes front and back for perormance and looks.  The rear brake rotors look real small with the large 17" wheels.  I spun the March billet pulley on my alternator. New pulley lock-tighted on.{good fix}  This cobra is everything they said it would be and more. From fueling it up to having people wave and smile.  Had a few ask what year of corvette it was?????  Not everyone is a car nut so I just smiled and told them what it was.  I will post more pics of future drives. 8-)  Darren

Just an awesome weekend.  Put the cobra in its 1st car show.  We pulled " BEST OF SHOW".  Talk about being jacked..  There was approx 110 real nice cars.  This came as a total shock due to there being some unreal nice cars.  It seemed like a magnet was pulling everyone over to My HURRICANE.  Just wanted to share.  D Wright.
