I know I have not been around much but I have finally gotten freed up enough to post some pictures of my finished car. It has 1500 miles on it already and not a lick of trouble yet!!! I am amazed...mainly cause I built the motor! :o My first one!
I can't say enough about the quality of the car. It is tight and solid. Rides like a dream!
Please enjoy the pics and go easy on me....first time I have done more than a tune up!
The last picture is what we used for our christmas card this year. ;D
THanks,
Michael

Christmas and my little partner!
Michael,
That is beautiful. You did an awesome job. You should be very proud.
Jim
nice job.....
Thanks a bunch guys!
I smile every time I drive it! 8-)
The attention to detail really stands out. I know you must be very proud. The color is wonderful!
Chris
Very Cool! ;)
What color is it (Black & silver?), it looks like my car.. chrysler met. Black and White.
The entire build reflects a high degree of quality work and planning. Your Cobra will get you numerous questions such as, "is it real?" and "what year is it?" and "it looks like an orginal Shelby...is it?" Be ready for all the great comments and the pride you'll feel when showing off your Hurricane. ;D
I also love the picture with your little girl.
Best Regards, Bill
Thanks Bill!
It's funny you say that cause I do get a lot of questions about whether or not it is real. Just makes me laugh. ;D
Yes it is black and silver. The black is a base black before any color is added. As black as you can get. The stripes are the Superformance silver color. They change colors depending on the angle you view them. Painter told me it took eight different colors to create that silver. I wanted a metallic silver that had a platinum hue to it.
I wanted it to be bare bones. No frills, heater, air, etc. a very clean purpose built car. All business! >:(
Great job. Looks outstanding. Where did you get the bolt head covers on the quick-jack bolts? They look cool.
Dan
PS- Tell them it is "real" (just not an original), if you don't think so, stand in front of it while I put in in 1st gear..... ;D
Michael, nothing to go easy on you about for your build. Looks fantastic! Hope mine turns out as good.

Michael, congrats . . . she's beautiful! Very nice work! Love the color combination . . you just sealed my choice. Black w/silver stripes.
Matt
Thanks guys for the compliments!
Matt,
if you want the coler codes let me know.
Dan,
I got the covers from the local ACE hardware. THey have a great selection of chrome and stainless fasteners and bolt covers. I think I saw them online too. They were about $6 each which added up quick. I used them on the quickjacks, inside the nose of the car. etc. I thought they were a cool touch.
Mike, I would appreciate the color codes.
Thanks
Matt
Matt,
The black is a base black. No color added. As black as it gets. The silver is from a 99 Lamborghini. It was used by Superformance for a while. I think this is the correct code.

Looks REALLY sharp!! You should be thrilled!
I can't wait to see it in person around Atlanta.
