Headed off to Lake City for another
« on: June 03, 2018, 09:23:33 PM »
Kind of excited, tomorrow I'm headed to Lake City to start my next Hurricane build. This time, it will be a GenIIa  ;D

Gen II Hurricane with the a new 2015 style IRS. Pictures to follow. Yes, it will be more period correct than the first one and yes, it will be a Big Block Shelby Side-Oiler FE

Paul, great news. I'm sure you will do your usual good job of documenting the build. Can't wait. Did you sell your current Hurricane?

. . . Did you sell your current Hurricane? . . .

Nope, driving and enjoying it. Will figure out next plan once both are completed.

That's exciting, Paul!

What's 2015 style IRS?   Mustang?

What's "Gen IIa"?  I guess I have Gen II "beta" - number HM2008.  What number will yours be?

Not sure how much I can share and not share, so if i have to take this down, my apologies to everyone in advance. Don't have a number assigned yet but I am guessing HM202x-HM203x)

Kind of fun to be working beside Monty, Steve, Jason Hatfield and Jason Kruse, we really are blessed with this team. Alec Daniel is off work this week, took a vacation. Wish he was here, kind of rounds out the team. I see an enthusiasm at Hurricane like the days when they first bought it. I feel there are a lot of good things coming our way, we just have to be patient. (who wants to do that? patience, my ass, I want to gut something}

Initial pics attached. Yes, it is an IRS out of a 2015-2017 Mustang. More to come tomorrow

Paul

ps: have you seen the video by Kirk Curole? That crazy cajun has a smooth tongue  ;D  Great review, Kirk

Is yours the prototype / test mule for the new IRS?

Wow snazzy! Lots of moving parts ...

Think this will retrofit to an earlier Gen II ?

That's one of the highlights, it will bolt onto both GenI and GenII cars. Order one for you?
