Always up for ideas to consider or pitfalls to watch out for.

See my post in the Suspension section for a question I posted about swaping to leading caliper by fliping brake backing plates - Let me know what you think.

Mark, really enjoyed reviewing your build pics. You all are doing an outstanding job on your build. I have one of the "original" Hurricanes and my frame, body, and and general fit of the parts was good, but based on your detail build pics it is amazing how much the current Hurricane guys have improved over the "originals". The body and tub parts look to be near perfect. Keep us updated! Thanks.

I guess I need to update, been busy the last two weekends
Tub is now mounted and insulated (interior) where birdcage  will be.

Engine side of firewall & footboxes insulated and covered with aluminum.

Replace stock rocker peds and springs with billet stands and spacers.

Very nice job Mark, I enjoyed looking at all your pictures and observed the high degree of quality you put into the car.  Your build is very clean and straight forward, I think your pictures could easily be in the Hurricane Manual for future builders.    ;)

Best of luck, can'tr wait to see the finished product.

Got the inner fender panels and radiator mounted over the holidays. I had to make some changes to the kit peices to clear the headers and steering shaft.

Paul, not sure how Mark did his, but I did mine with a Scotbrite pad on a wood block and used WD40 as a lub to get the same look. It gives a nice even brushed look.

Paul, dad did the panels he used course(red), fine(grey) and super fine(white) levels of scotch bright pads then used a polish pad and some rubbing compound on a drill motor then finished with a little hand paste wax to preserve the look. He used wet/dry sand paper to get out really bad scratches, then even up with the course, use the fine to the desired brushed finish and clean up with the fine. The rubbing compound and wax bring back some shine. We only did the engine side as we thought we might want to put some coating in the wheel well area.

Got rad top, horns and upper hose installed, little more wiring and working on accel brackets and fresh air vents.

About ready to test fit the body, list is gitting short on things to complete before start up.
